My hounds love their groomer

She uses Walnut essence to bathe the black pups and almond conditioner for dry skin.  For Ben my brindle boy she uses cammomile shampoo and  almond.  She dremels their nails, ear cleaning  for $30.00  each.  Is that good?    I wonder how much you guys pay the groomer.    Jan

Shampoo

Although I read somewhere you shouldn't use it.....I use plain old baby shampoo.  I rarely use a conditioner, because the kind I tried was almost impossible to rinse out.  I don't think my two need a conditioner.  With the baby shampoo, they come out very shiney, sleek, and as soft as cotton.  ;)  I'm eager to hear what others use.

If you use Frontline or

If you use Frontline or other topical preventatives, be sure the shampoo specifically says "Soap-free" or it will strip the preventative off. Also, wait 24 hrs. before applying products after bathing.

thanks Linda

Just yesterday I was reading the insert from the Advantage I use and it said nothing about how long to wait. I have heard to not bath for three days befor or after applying the drops. But never saw anything official written on the the package.

Also, do you know of the difference between the different drops? Is Frontline better then Advantage etc. We use to use Advantix but that one got to pricy for us. We use drops year around since I doggy sit at my home.

Have a greyt day!
