GRTB, Back to The Future, II.

Miscellaneous | Activities / Schedule of Events | Message Board

If you enjoyed the low key approach to  Greyhounds Reach the Beach last year: the quiet times with your hounds, the long slow walks, and easygoing atmosphere, you're in for a treat again in 2010. The event, because of the changes in the town, and lack of availability of large venues, is going to stay, for the foreseeable future, a self guided, and largely unstructured one. Vendors will come, and again, do their own thing,  and there will be small events, organized by any groups who wish to do so. It will be a relaxing weekend, with your hounds.

Our regular team has been in Dewey recently, getting the town ready for our arrival on Columbus Day Weekend. We will be welcomed, as always, and all of our hounds will be allowed on the beach.

Good news but have a question on the fire hall

We had a nice time last year, especially the Bell Ceremony for those that have gone to the Bridge.  We will be back at 310 Hickman and look forward to seeing everyone.  It will be here before we know it.  For us it will be 18 weeks from Saturday.

As to the fire hall.  While at GIG I was told the fire hall will not be a vending point this year.  Does anyone know about that?

What about the dog

What about the dog licenses??? How much are they per dog and where can we purchase them??

Dog licenses are covered

From what I have been told these are covered by the GH Project for this year.  I do not know if you read or saw the item just after dewey beach but I was raising the issue and was infomred that they would still be covered by the GH Project.  I guess someone needs to raise the issue again but I was told to leave it be so I am.  PHF

Dewey

We are ready!! We're in a new house this year right in the middle of town. We got our licenses a few years ago for spring Dewey - they are good for life so it is really not that bad to just go ahead and get them. Since we do spring Dewey each year it made sense for us. Looking forward to seeing you all there!! It will be here before we know it!!
