Cokie

Good evening ya'll,

This is Lord Murray reporting on our Cokie who was attacked by a Weimeranian last night.  It was quite a fightening situation for my mama but not nearly as fightening as it was for Cokie. took her to the vet and she had 3 hugh punctures and 1 hugh tear under her arm.  She now looks like Frankendog with the tubes sticking out of her body.  She is on lots of antibiotics n fluids and will remain in the hospital for several days. 

Now, I really don't understand why a mini schnauzer who is part terrier once released by the big dog went right back after him.  This just doesn't seem real logical to me.  I must ask her about this when she comes home.  My other mama Peggy had to grab the big dog again who pulled her to the ground and she hurt her knee.  She has to stay off of it for a week.  I wish I had been there cause I surely would've bitten him in half messing with my family like that.  Mama is going to see her tomorrow so she won't think she has been abandoned.  But the vets just make over her like crazy and I can't tell you how she is going eat that up....I do miss the little one...She just kinda grows on you.

Oh My Goodness. I hope Cokie is okay and is home soon. What a terrible thing to happen.

Poor Cokie!  Sure hope she heals physically and psychologically!  She was most certainly out-matched by size.  I'm so sorry this happened.

I also hope Peggy's knee is okay too.

Give Cokie a gentle hug for me.

Good evening ya'll,

This is Lord Murray with an update on Cokie.  VeterinarianShe still has IV's in her and tubes but she has started to eat better.  She really has them wrapped around her little paw cause she refused to eat hard food but when they gave her soft food and she gulped it down...she doesn't miss a trick.  I must learn some of these antics when she gets home.  Mystic says it's below her to stoop to just trickeryAngel 2.... As ya'll know I am VERY observant and believe me Mystic ain't no angel... MURRAY DELETE THAT RIGHT NOW OR I'M GONNA BITE YOUR HEAD OFF.....

Well as ya'll can see I've gotta run

Thank you for that update, Lord Murray!  I am glad that Cokie is doing so well and eating, even if you think she's milking it, at least she's eating!

Well, I went and saw Cokie

Well, I went and saw Cokie today for the 1st time since the attack and I really had no idea how bad she really was.  She has at least 25 stitches across her back where the skin was torn from the muscle, 7 drains, other stiches without drains....Geez, I was sick when I saw her.  I held her very gently and all she wanted to do was lick me and snuggle.  Of course that was hard to do since she has that collar on because she started licking everywhere.  She will not be coming home any time soon for sure.  When I got home  Mystic and Murray couldn't smell me enough and it didn't seem like they were to happy with the smell.  The vet said she really is looking good....hmmmm.  I'm just glad she didn't have kidney failure or anything else.  I'll keep ya'll informed.

She feels like a heroine

   Murray, She was prepared to take a lickin' for the safety of her family.  She went back for a second round to tear him in 1/2 for threatening her family.  What a little Scrapper!!  It is that terrier heart.  
  Tell me, is the dog's  owner taking responsibility, for both Cokie and Peggy? 
    I am sorry that happened to you guys.  I know that is was scary.

Gee Liz, it does sound very bad, but she is in the best hands for now being at the vet.  I do hope she will heal soon so she can be back home.  Please do keep us updated.  She was and is a very brave little girl.
