Though my heart is still broken over the loss of my Dolly, I'm thinking it may be time to add another grey to my family.  I don't think I'll get another girl...she was my girl. It'll be a boy.  I have found a prospective 2.5 year old who is in Mass.

LINDA, YOU WILL KNOW

if it is the right time. I have found that there is no set amount of time to wait, when I lost Brewer last summer Karma pushed me to move faster than I probably would have - she HATED being an only child so in came Wilson. There are so many deserving ones out there waiting for you, Good Luck.

Oh Linda -

You know how we feel about that - we never seem to go too long after a loss - there is always such a void that needs to be filled - and so many waiting for homes. I'm sure if the time is right and it's the right grey you will know it - good luck with whatever you decide. I know that Dolly will be helping you make the decision from the Bridge - she knows how much love you have to share -

Linda - I am so happy for

Linda - I am so happy for you and for Mikey!  Sure hope it will all work out.  You well know that adopting another doesn't in any way diminish your loss of Dolly, but I am sure she would want you to give another a great loving home.

Linda

They don't take the place of the one lost,so you don't have to  worry about loosing what you had with Dolly. They bring new love & memories all their own. If your heart says you are ready the dog will be the luckiest boy in the world!

Debi

You will know

what works best for you and Mikey. If you feel ready, then go for it.

Love never divides

It MULTIPLIES.   As you add family members  Love does not subtract the one you lost.  It multiplies to add the new family member who has been entrusted to your care.   I hope that the hound of your dreams finds you.       Sending all best wishes.     Jan, Ben, Morley and Joyce wish you well!

So...it looks like this boy

So...it looks like this boy is meant to be mine.  He is with a foster dad in MD until i can pick him up on Thursday. According to the foster he looks just like Mikey, another beautiful red brindle boy. If he is half as good a dog as Mikey I'll be thrilled! I've been told that he loves people, is very social and "fuzzy"!   Hopefully I'll have pics from the foster today. My heart is still broken after the loss of my Dolly. I wonder if I'll ever stop crying when I think of her sweet face. She was truly my heart and soul girl...I've never felt so connected to an animal as I did with her. I do know that I adore this breed and I have lots of love and time to give.

His racing name is "Would You Do It".
