If he is vomiting it's not a bad thing for him to not eat for 24 hours but he has to drink...especially if he has kidney disease. Is there an emergency vet nearby? If he can't keep water down he may need some SQ fluids, just under the skin to get him hydrated.

I hope that Harley had a good evening and was not too upset by fireworks.  I dismissed the not eating and loose stools of my kids to the hot weather.   As long as he is adequately hydrated.   Keep us informed.    Jan, Ben, Morley and Joyce wish you well!  

Peggy - sorry that Harley is not feeling well, and I agree with the others, he definitely needs to be drinking water.  Maybe try some of the plain flavor Pedialyte and if he won't drink that, then try mixing it in with his water.

Hope he feels better soon.  I'll keep Harley and you in my prayers.

My computer was acting up and couldn't get on.  he is finally starting to eat and drink and no throw ups...his stool is not normal yet

hes not back to himself yet but he is better and I am thankful for that, I thought that we were losing him...what a scare...

seems that they all had some sort of virus? they were affected in different ways, but Harley was hit the worst...wasn't there some sort of

bad virus going around a few months back??? anyone experience that??? sorry if you did this wasn't fun for the kidz....thank you for all of

your caring responses, it means alot knowing you are only a tic away..hugs,

Glad to hear Harley is doing better.  I had the human virus and it knocked me out for days. I have NEVER been so sick.  I can imagine what a virus does to our puppers.
